What happens if your circumstances change during the lifetime of a PIA?

If your circumstances change during the lifetime of the PIA, thereby affecting your ability to make repayments under the PIA, you must inform the PIP. The PIP will then advise you whether it is necessary to apply for a variation to the PIA. If the PIP is of the view that you need to apply for a variation he/she will prepare a variation proposal. If you approve the variation proposal your creditors will then be given an opportunity to vote on this proposal.
